Talkies01, dell d610 Specification

Before i am going share the dell D610 specs, i want to tell you variant that comes in the dell D610. You actually googled it and the internet will provide with the information you needed .

As you can see in notebookreview.com and cnet.com the Dell D610 comes from a variant processor that range from 2.00 - 2.13 Ghz of clock speed and Memory RAM from 512-2Gb. What I found is that my Dell D610 only comes of 1.60 Ghz and 512Mb of RAM (now upgraded to 1 Gb). The Visual Driver is the ATI X300 with dedicated 64Mb memory, and here is the the bad news it comes with a non apple friendl intel proset 2200 b/g wireless card and a bluetooth. As much as the useless intel wireless, we can still tweak on the PCIMCIA to get the wifi working. I'll be more discussing it later here.

I've search around the internet on how hackintosh would work on these spec and all i found is that D610 is good with snow leopard (10.5). You can actually check the technical spec in apple support here. If you could google "dell d610 hackintosh" you'll get three video from youtube showing their achievement in putting OSX in their dell d610. The picture was taken on july 2013, and made kind of excited!! (there's actually someone who did put a hackintosh on their dell d610, Thank God!)  The videos here is just showing you the end product, they didn't tell you how they did it but the third link did;

You could go directly here and form there he'll told to check it out here. Its a thread consist of step by step to install a hackintosh using a distro called IPC universal 10.5.6. The OSX version that he use on his laptop, an OSX just below the spec of what I am Going to use later (mine which is a leopard, or is it a better idea to follow his steps?). You can read the thread and wonder more on how he did it which is going to take some more time to understand (read it but just leave it there we'll come back to that later).

Some people would install a hackintosh on a PC (which is a better idea) and come up with a better success rate. Use a Gigabyte hardware for a PC and your installment will be flawless.

Now if there is a software tool to see your Laptop/PC hardware compatibility with the hackintosh then it would be very convenient, which there aren't so keep looking, maybe there is one. Dont worry hackintosh covers just most of everything, if it doesnt you just have to patched it, as simple as that.
